Ornamono is a custom ornamental monospace typeface inspired by the quiet beauty of iron-wrought fences that occupy public space while balancing protection and decoration. I was drawn by not only its intricate patterns but also how these forms use repetition, rhythm, and geometry to create ornament from constraint.

Curves, spikes, motifs, and gridded frameworks from architectural metalwork became the foundation for the letterforms. In Ornamono, each character adheres to a monospace system while incorporating ornamental curves and gestures. Like the fences that inspired it, the typeface is functional at its core but enriched through subtle embellishment resulting in a charming display typeface.
